Janelle was born and raised in Rock Island, Illinois. She graduated from Alleman High School in 2007. She then attended Trinity College of Nursing and Health Sciences, from which she received her nursing degree in 2010. Janelle began her career as a Registered Nurse at UnityPoint Trinity, formerly Trinity Medical Center, where she had already been working as a Patient Care Tech since 2008. She spent the majority of her nursing career working in the Trinity’s Rock Island Emergency Department. In 2016, Janelle graduated from Walden University, earning her Masters of Science in Nursing degree and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. She was then given the honorable opportunity to begin her career as a Nurse Practitioner in Emergency Medicine at UnityPoint Trinity, where she was able to work along side and gain an abundance of clinical knowledge from her many mentors. Janelle then had the opportunity to practice Family Medicine at Stone Ridge Medical Group with the physician she considers to be her career mentor, Dr. Jim Petre.  In 2022, Janelle and her husband decided to make a big change and move across the country to be closer to family in Florida, where they currently reside. Janelle began working at urgent care, given her background and continues to work there on occasion. She was given the opportunity to expand her career in May of 2023, when she joined the Carelock Team. Janelle is the mother of three young children. She is married to her husband, who is a Sheriff’s Deputy. Together, they cherish spending time together outdoors, at the beach and on the boat. Janelle is very excited to join the Carelock medical team. She looks forward to working with patients to collaboratively achieve their health goals as well as help facilitate their acute health and preventative health needs.
